'Well, when I get it the only thing that does any good is to jump in a cab and go to Tiffany's. Calms me down right away. The quietness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there. If I could find a real-life place that'd make me feel like Tiffany's, then - then I'd buy some furniture and give the cat a name!'
–Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's
A dream of mine is to own an original Tiffany lamp. Well, actually almost anything from Tiffany would be nice. I mean come on, it is Tiffany! And like most women, especially after watching the film Breakfast at Tiffany's, fell in love, and wanted to be, Holly Golightly. Although I wouldn't have said no to the interior decorator's job either!
And here is our Tiffany in all her glory. Not an original but in the style of and beautiful at that. A stunning example of art nouveau at its best. Four butterflies flying in unison with tulips as antennae. Incorporating small coloured bulbs and a larger central bulb and hung on a long chain. So. let's give the cat a name!

Ps. Did you know that the first Tiffany lamp was created around 1895. Each lamp was handmade by skilled craftsmen, not mass- or machine-produced. Its designer was not, as had been thought for over 100 years, Louis Comfort Tiffany, but a previously unrecognized artist named Clara Driscoll who was identified in 2007 by Rutgers professor Martin Eidelberg as being the master designer behind the most creative and valuable leaded glass lamps produced by Tiffany Studios.
