I always thought that there was something very sexy about fencing. It's a very elegant sport and then all dressed up in white with that mysterious mask. As soon as I had heard that my local fitness studio had fencing classes, I signed up. And you know what? It was sooooo difficult. To take note of everything and remember the right posture and position, the different swords foil, sabre and épée and then all those rules! It was highly complex, but the trainers were lovely and I was fascinated. I admit, I gave the next class a miss, but it really was an unforgettable experience and one that I still hope to take up one day.
